Questa Venezia ubriaca
di baci bagnati,
da colombi dorati
cantori di quell'Adriatico
così curioso,
che s'infila nei canali
a donare i suoi riflessi
agl'occhi rapiti
degli esseri
innamorati della vita,
e di quel Sole
che tramonta improvviso,
come raggiante ostensorio
sceso da Nettuno.
E lo Champagne
al Caffè Quadri...
Mentre i miei occhi
accarezzano piano
con mani di cristallo
quei sospiri là fuori,
nuovi Rondò
nati nudi dalle gondole,
dai cuori di giada
...oh, Venezia!

su bianche reti,

suoni di campane

al dorato vespero,

e pesci d'argento

emergono dall'acqua

...cantando il Creato,

e gente s'abbraccia

ai nostri pescatori,

eterni
...intrepidi Nettuno.

Gabbiani solitari

sembran sparir

tra le nubi così

sopra le barche

...all'improvviso,

lasciando un così

vago dolce,

sulle labbra

degli amanti...
